NOTE: These are bitmap images made from actual, hand printed, wood type.
Each image set has been relief printed on an etching press in a progressive light to dark series onto textured fine art printmaking paper. Some sets also include experimental alternates (distressed, scratched, over or under inked, spritzed with solvents, allowed to drip or run, etc.) The prints were then scanned, corrected and optimized.
Each Tiff contains two layers. The bottom background layer is solid white. The top layer contains the isolated Grayscale letters or shapes with full 8 bit transparency. Just cut and paste them into your favorite image editing program. Use layers, blending modes and layer styes to compose, arrange, color or otherwise effect them.
